Default look at this, 02 Z28 convertible with 25 miles on it, still has window sticker in it

I would never have thought there would still be some brand new ones laying around. Its even a 6 speed. I might even have entertained the thought of buying it if it was a coupe.

Thats great, but keeping cars like that is a waste. drive the **** out of it then restore it in 30 years.

I dont get people who buy brand new cars to wait 35 years for it to be a collectors item, its like a redneck IRA

the car is at a dealer, though, so its not like someone is just keeping the car in their garage and not driving it.

There's one locally here... a silver vert.

I find it hard to believe that nobody ever bought that car

I know it. I don't know what the story on this one is, but I saw one a while back that was still there simply because nobody bought it.

yeah i checked the carfax, its never been titled. the thing that sucks is that if you bought the car, it wouldnt even come with a warranty cause the 3 years is up.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is 3 years from date of purchase. I'm not positive though.

And that's probably why it continues to sit at that dealership. Not only are they asking about $10K too much, but who wants to pay for a "brand new" car that doesn't have any kind of warranty because it's a few years old?

Back in '02, they were practically giving Z28's away for less than $20K if you haggled enough. This black '02 Vert will continue to sit and collect dust as long as that dealership keeps their head in their ***.

I thought the warranty starts from the day the car goes into service.

Hmm, it might: I honestly don't know. But either way, that dealership is asking way, WAY too much for that car.

Cars like that don't appreciate, and won't for a good while. I don't know what the verts went for, but there's no way it was 30k new. Let alone 30k now.

I've talked to some dealers who indicated that they had some 4th gens in storage, kind of speculating.

That car was easily over 30k new. The standard price for a Z28 vert was like 29.5. Plus, this one has sport appearance package, which is over $1000 alone. It also has leather and chrome wheels.

I believe my SS vert was 34k in 2000 when it was built.

I bought it in 2002 for 23k with 2000 miles on it.

that car was probably in the neighborhood of 27k when it was brand new.

You know i bet the fluids in that engine are all gone to ****, how does a car like that happen? It just doesn't make sense. Were they cleaning out the back of the store one night and found a car?

are you kidding? There's no way that car's sticker price was 27k. I don't understand your thinking.

So you think this car was 7K less than this guys and the only difference is that he has the SS? This one is also 2 years newer.
