This Might Seem to easy but did you check the Fuses? Fuses under the the dash. The wiring on a thirdgen is very solid. It got to be just a Fuse or two.

I changed out the guage fuse and the instr lamps and still nothing. When i got the car they were vry dim then one day just didnt come on. I changed my ground cable which had to be replaced regardless and that didnt fix it. My dome light as well as my pedal light (i guess you call it) works just no guage lights. As well my gas guage is stuck on F. Any quick fixes for that?
Thanks

Sounds like the rheostat in your headlight switch is kaput. The headlight switch isn't the easiest thing to remove , either. Pull the dash pad top off where you can get access to the back of the switch and look for a smaller size gray wire , does it have power when the switch is on? The feed for this is the parking light wire and the guage light fuse is bettween the switch and the dash lights.

u might want to buy a book for your car. saved me a lot of time and would prob save you a lot of time too. it will be $20 bucks at most and kinda walks u through a lot of simple and even complicated things. mine shows me how to completely dismantle my car and put it back together. jus a thought. it would prob help tho.
