What Would You Do?
Ok, guys.
I have a paid off 2000 slp SS m6
I cant decide....help
do I keep my car and put a SLP 402 longblock and 9in w 3.73
or
Buy new to me C6 Z51 M6 and sell my excellent condition SLP SS
or
Keep my car go with the CHEATR cam and Heads and 9in rear...while I continue to save for my 2009 camaro
or
just drive my SS as is... will need to upgrade rear soon. (stock car but rear has been fixed 2 already 104K miles on the car, pefect shape)

i would keep the SS and save for a 2010 camaro. dont buy it the first year it comes out, GM always makes updates after a car gets released.
itll be nice to not have to mak payments on a car...i know that i dream of that day.

Keep your car now and save for a 2010. That's my plan too. No matter if you got the Vette or the 2010 Camaro, you'll still kick yourself for getting rid of the 2000 SS. Take it easy on the mods and just enjoy it as it is. Start a new savings account for the 2010 Camaro and put all the money you would spend on mods in there. Then once you have $5k, put it in a long term CD or mutual fund.

The C6 is a very nice car, but honestly it wasn't any more "fun" to drive than my f-bodies were. I got tired of the $900/month payments so I sold it. Having a paid off hotrod is a good thing, I'd suggest buying a more reliable daily-driver and going wild with the SS. Maybe pick up a truck?

I say your mod picks are way off. SLP 402 is overpriced as hell. TSP is the way to go far as blocks. Also why would you put a stroker motor in your car if your current motor is still working.
Personally I would say you can't go wrong getting a C6 or keeping your car and save cash

Do you like your camaro if so keep it?
Take a vette out for a test drive, if you can afford it and like it go for it.
If you do want to keep it, before you spend a penny make your mind up what you want out of it said and done or you will spend a ton and end up unhappy.
As Nine Ball said, having no payments is great, as far as cars go it's the only way I will go.
