Because I don't like Asian vehicles that sound like angry bees?? Why do you like them so much??

I don't care how fast a car can be, there is more to cars than just speed. I'd rather have a nice looking, nice sounding muscle car than an ugly *** jap car with a fart can thats a dragster. Jap crap gets zero respect from me.

Notice that half the people who say they didn't like me are import ****.

What a surprise. They don't like me making fun of their shitty cars.

I just think that not liking a car purely from where it made is just weird. I understand your preference on how an f-body looks more than a supra, but denying how well the other car works just shows a very narrow mind. Nobody ever made any advances in automotive technology (or anywhere for that matter) without looking outside of where they were and getting ideas from different places and things.

wow.....just wow. you think you could try to be a little more closed minded? what about exotics? those have higher pitched smaller motors. so does that make a ferrari a ricer since it has a smaller motor? what about a porsche? and i suppose all the sportbikes are pos ricers as well

What about a Cobalt SS/SC, Soulstice GXP or an S R T 4 (series of question marks still comes up )? Do you hate American cars that have performance oriented four cylinders? What about a VW GTI?

This thread is probably about to be closed...

But, FWIW, regardless of idiotic statements by WS6 and Evo(much as I like your car, you are way off on F-bodies in road racing).

Clean craftsmanship should be respected.

Supra motors should be respected...there's a reason they have established themselves on top of RX7's, 300ZX's, and even NSX's....the motor is a piece of art, it was designed to be raced....the car is a mediocre early 90's sports car, the engine is awesome. End of story IMO.

I like it, its not like it was a original Z28, or SS

they stated it came from the factory with a inline 6. Still a classic, but not all that..

TOTALLY, PURELY and COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE opinion. Just because the vast majority of the Poopra worshippers on here agree does not make it fact. I guess that now the sounds, as well as the looks (of the MKIVs) get the "transference effect" seal of approval due to the power/speed/modibility of the GTEs??

Yes they did, hence why some thought a built/modded/boosted GM sourced I6 would have been more appropriate, given the builder's claims/desires to "want to do/build something different". It's STILL "different" enough, just by virtue of it NOT being your standard "same old, same old" big block/LT1/LSx that usually gets thrown into the 1st gens.

+11ty billion on the technical job/workmanship
-11ty billion for a Japanese motor in the ultimate American Muscle car icon

putting a Ford motor in there would be just as bad, IMHO

the reason why i disagree is simple - the money it would take to make a GM i6 hold up to even moderate boost, much less enough boost to crank out 1000hp give or take, would be very high. you would have to have a fully built motor, and more than likely even more custom fab work than this to make it happen. but then again, this project is obviously not low buck to begin with, i am just looking at it from a cost conservative standpoint. just my .02

Of course you would have to "fully build" the 4.2, but you are also starting with 1.2 more liters. So if the head on those things flows half as well as most claim, reliable power should be NO problem.

true on the extra C.I. but if it would be that easy to hit 1k hp, why have i not heard of it being done with those motors before? especially at a streetable level. i am sure with enough cash thrown at it, you could have the 4.2 hold up to 1k, but will it be nearly as driveable?

i am not familiar with the GM I6, so that is why i am asking
