Need help with 69 Camaro Value
I need alittle help putting a dollar value on this car I want to buy. It is a X44 code car. It has a non running big block in it. It is missing all the accessories, carb and dist. The engine was recently painted. The body appears very straight with no rust. It has a 70's interior with crush velvet and **** carpet. The floors are good as are the frame rails. It has SS emblems and hood. No rear spoiler. Dash, gauges and console are good. The car needs restoration but could be a decent driver with alittle work. What is it worth?

Go here and ask your questions, they are going to ask for the VIN number, the cowl tag info and some other stuff also. That car is badged as an SS, is it a true SS? www.camaros.net

Nice car! You could say I am mechanically inclined. Been around cars and bikes all my life. I'm not looking to work on the car anytime soon, I have to finish my 79Z first. I just always wanted a 69. This one is a bank repo so I have no info on it. Have to have a bid in by Wed. Heres acouple more pics.

Go back to the lot with a pen magnet. If you get a strong pull all over the car give the man cash and run! And once you do have and want to restore it give us a holler at camaros.net.

I wouldn't use a pen magnet, might **** the owner off. Use a refrigerator magnet in a sandwhich baggie, no scratches. The 1st gen Camaros are prone to corrosion in several areas. I would look at the sub frames, rocker panels, toe panels, floor pans, trunk pan, rear quarter panels(real closely), shock towers.

With it being an X44 code car and originally LeMans Blue with matching dark blue interior. Not being able to see the console, but it would be "more-than-likely" a Power Glide or TH350 tranny, 10-bolt and drum brakes all around, I wouldn't have bid anymore than that. That's not a car with desirable options. Thats basically a cheap '69 Camaro and for someone to pay more than $7500, either a clone is being made, or they're doing a custom job. Honestly, you'll have to invest more money restoring it than what the final product will be worth, if you go the stock-original way.
