Default smokey yunicks 68 camaro details?

ok i'm building a retro road racing camaro based on smokey yunicks black and gold 68 camaro. it will look straight from 1969-70 but with ls1 t56 and modern suspention. what i'm looking for is detailed designs smokey used to make his 68 slip thro the air better. ie laid back windshild shorter drip rails floor modifications and what not. so if anyone has any kinda websites or links to were i can read about this car would be greatly appriciated. and a very detailed build page will start as soon as i get all the parts and plans for this car.

I know they did a article in a car mag a while back. I don't remember exactly which one it was(maybe Hot Rod). Vic Edelbrock owns one of the cars now. Here is a link with some pics

Can anyone tell me what make/model the rims were. They kinda look like torque thrust but the spoke areas are much thinner and none of the metal center either.

The thing with his Camaro was it was like a 9/10's scale of one. Even though it never won a race it was notorious for bending the rules. He had it acid dipped, flares, etc. Very cool, I read that in an old issue of Camaro Performers I had...

Well it was his chevelle that was considered "shrunk" even though when matched to a template from a rental chevelle it was found to be correct.

the real fun is that Smokey lived in a haze of mystery and legend so most of these stories could be complete BS anyway. soooo any idea on what those rims look like? maybe some "budnick" model?? im just tossing names out there.

Dont know if a 9/10 Camaro was ever built but I do know a Chevelle was built this way for NASCAR competition. From what I remember this car was not allowed to race.

I have an old article in one of my vast collection of car mags . It was a '67 Chevelle paint gold and black , chock full o' trickery. Bumpers were shortened and tucked in along with a few more aero tricks. One could say he was a Chad Knaus of the '60s. The Chevelle was set up for NASCAR and the Camaro was for the Trans Am series

^^^^ thats how I have heard it too. Although it was changed alot from "stock" Im not sure anyone proved that it was scaled down.

Oh looks like those rims i posted are wrong. they are from the right year but here is a pic and i found some others too that shows smokey using 5 spoke rims like creager SS rims.
