Default 78 c10 5.3 swap

I dont know why i never posted this but here it goes. The truck is a 78 c10 shortbed, lowered 4 inches. Its sitting on 20 in procomp wheels. The 5.3 is from a 02 Silverado. It has an edelbrock intake, edel. cam, 750 proform dp, and custom 1 3/4 long tube headers. Trans is a th400 w/ 4000 stall. Rear is a 12 bolt w/4.56s and mini spool. Bodywork is now in progress. I just need to decide on a color. here is a link to some pics of the truck.

This is the best website around. I found all the info needed for the swap right here. Thanks for tons of great info and thanks for looking.

hey fiano. My headers were built from big block 68-72 chevelle headers. We just got a pair of flanges, hacked off the bbc flanges, had to modify the pipes a little, but the fit great. If you dont want to go the custom route, i have been told by a few people on the truck forum that 98-02 f-body headers work with minimal tweaks. not a hundred percent sure on that one though. One guy assured me that they would. one of the magazines did a c10 build using some mid length hedman headers. let me see if i can dig the part number up for you.

The mag that did the swap was Hotrod. I cant find my paper copy but here is the link to the article.

http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...ild/index.html

I know there is a pic of the headers with the part number visible in the mag but they dont show it on the site. I think my dad may have it, i will ask him tomorrow and post it.

Man I wish I had the post 81 front end. I love the full billet grille. The only motivation you need is the thought of a little 326 cube engine spanking 5.0s all day long and getting better fuel mileage while doing it.

also, i have a '91 suburban radiator support with double head lights(side by side). it looks real mean but i love the black phanton grille. looks real mean. i just love shor'dee(my c10). c10 lovers, post those pics. go to cardomain.com and look for '84 chevy c10(BMFTrucks). his truck is so sick, with the headlight game. he is a killer.
