Looks good. Subscribed. Don't forget to add a link to Merv's "sticky" that's not a sticky anymore. lol

Can any of you tell me what I need to run a carb'd LS in a 94Z28 and have my guages and stuff still work? I know about the ign controller, intake, fuel system, k-member, rack, i-shaft....just need to figure out the wiring part.
If there is a thread you can point me to would be great.

It's good to see you showed up in here! Welcome.

Here are some of the threads:

Wiring a LS1 into a LT1 Car

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...rsion-how.html

I'm about to try to tackle the wiring for mine as well. Fun times.

Thanks for the links. When I said to add a link to the "sticky" I was talking about you listing this thread of yours in there with other people's conversion threads. I decided to stay LT1 with my 97 SS, but picked up a roller with HVAC delete and I'm thinking about going LS? with it.

Lol, got it. I just updated my first post in that thread.

I don't think I'd tear up an LT1 SS either. However, now that you have another roller, what are your goals with that car?

It has a RaceCraft k-member and if what I have read is correct, they make one k-member for both LT1 & LS1 and just use different mounts that bolt on. If that is correct, I am thinking it will be pretty easy to swap in a carb'd LSx and have a play toy. I've got a stock LS1 k-member too, so even if the racecraft one won't work, I'll just use it.

I don't have experience with Racecraft's stuff on F-Bodies, however I worked with their stuff on SN-95s and fox bodies. It's pretty good quality. Do you have the A-arms too?

Nope, just the k. I doubt I'd ever spend that much for the control arms for the little bit of weight savings. Especially not the uppers. It does have a whole set of QA1 coil-overs that I'm gonna rob off it and throw on the 97. lol

I hear ya, I'm not planning on swapping my K-member and A-arms just yet, but when I do I'm probably going to go with Spohn.

I'd give a new update, but I'm still waiting on the header bolts, motor mount bolts, and push rods to come in. Next up is wiring it all up.

Good stuff, sounds like it'll be a beast! This should start moving at a good pace once I get my harness in (still need a starter, throttle cable, throttle body, ps pump setup - all of which have to wait at the moment). I'll try to keep it picture heavy.

Professional Products (either the 96mm or 101mm, not sure which yet.). The 96mm is the exact size of the inlet, however the 101mm tapers down to the size of the inlet.

What are you using for an oil pressure sending unit? I have the one that came with my 5.3 from the truck and it doesnt register on my 95 cluster.

You need to use an F-body one. F-body is 1-pin, truck is 3-pin.

Does it matter what Fbody it comes from? like a V6 or does it have to be LT or LS? Just curious...

98-02 LS1 I know works. I'm not sure or aware of changes between the others. I would think the same year V6 might work, but I could be wrong. Is your 95 an LT1 car or V6?
