Default Not having much luck finding a tuner.

So I am getting the gears done next week and my wide band came in today. Now all I need is a tuner that uses HPT and answers emails and phone calls. All the tuners I have tried to contact at least in my area, only 2 have responded. One uses EFI live, and the other wants $850. I really need some help here.

Bryan Herter of PCMForLess has an awesome reputation. He answered my hair-brained questions via email on a Saturday. Edit: ahh, I see you need someone local. I had the same problem.

How far would you be willing to drive - would Baltimore be too far?

If you're interested, I could give you the info to my tuner. He is located in SC, but travels all over the US. He always answers my calls/texts typically within the hour.

Is RPM in Claymont, DE too far away?

Or Ed Hutchings goes up to Frederick, MD and points further occasionally.

I actually emailed with Ed several times, but I ended up not being ready when he was in town.

Ready to switch to EFILive yet

Does your HPTuners cable have a serial input for the wideband? or only analog? Which wideband are you putting in?

FRC, I saw you post a similar thread a few weeks ago. Did you try Tune Time in Lakewood?

I used Innovative MTX-L. No I bought the basic HPT. As for switching to EFI Live, I am considering it.

Lakewood NJ? I think I looked them up online. Didn't mention them in the post a few weeks ago? They are about 2 1/2 hr drive. I didn't want to go that far. I really want to find one person to tune and just stick with them, kinda like going to a doctor. Everytime you go to a new doctor they wanna start all over again and do all the same test the last one did. Was hoping to stick with someone within and hr drive or so.

I have always been really happy with Bryan at pcmforless. I am not sure how far he travels now, but it would be worth a shot. He has tuned 3-4 LT1 cars for me and has now done my LS1 swap.

If you have a wideband and hpt, Ed could remote tune you I'm sure. He got mine almost perfect via email.
