Default 6.0 to TH350 mating question

I am trying to maintain a budget so I will be keeping the stock transmission in my 70 firebird. The '06 LQ4 I bought came with a 4L80E flex plate, So I was wondering what I would all need to bolt it up to my TH350?

SIDE NOTE: The car currently has a BOP TH350 and I know the LS based engines use a chevy bolt pattern. Will the Chevy TH350 bolt directly in place of the BOP TH350?

I believe only the early LQ4 motors with iron heads have the correct flywheel converter spacing for a sbc trans to bolt right up. I think your 2006 will need an adapter flywheel and spacer for the converter snout.

I used an 01 LQ4 flywheel with factor spacer and it bolted right up.

is the flywheel dished ,, if so you need this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Speedway-LS-Crank-to-GM-TH350-400-Converter-Sleeve-Adapter-4mm-Centerplate-/381141324137?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58bdcb1169&vxp=mtr
if its flat you need this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/700R4-Early-4L60E-Adapter-to-install-a-LS1-motor-/130944454153?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7ce5ce09&vxp=mtr
you also need to elongate the converter bolt holes toward the center of the flexplate approximately 1/8 of an inch ,,, a rattail file works well for this purpose

Since you already have a 4l80e flexplate you can bolt right up to a th350. The BOP th350 has a different bolt pattern and will not bolt up directly it may need a BOP to chevy adapter plate. However, check the trans first as some th350`s were cast as dual BOP and chevy cases, if yours has both bolt patterns your good to go. If your DBW its easiest to hook the kickdown cable directly to the gas pedal, unless you want a full manual valvebody.

Pull your pedal assembly out, go buy a small micro switch and orient it someway that will trigger the switch at WOT.

I had to drill a hole thru the pedal arm and welded a bolt in place to hit the switch on mine.
