You can't reprogram them to run the Dodge engine, forget about trying another brand...

The main reason to ditch the Dodge drivetrain is to get rid of the outdated ECU, in my opinion.

I did use the dodge ECU to run the gauges when I first did my swap, but it just seemed wrong. So I put in autometer.

Tell us more information about your plans.

Thanks guys for all the advice, nice to know before i get started and waste a hole lot of time,I guess i was trying to keep all the dodge gauges working,I think i will go dbc throttle and look for a stand alone harness, stock gm pcm and tune it,as the ls6 has cnc heads and a cam, trans is a 4L60E,next hurdle will be keeping the stock speedo working? any preference on who to get the harness from or are the vendors all pretty similar??

If you keep the Dodge ECU, your stock speedo will work. You will have to use a GM harness and PCM for the engine and controls. I think any of the wiring vendors on this site are probably OK.

Check out lsdak.com discussion forum for a lot of information about this swap.
