Default finally... got my '67 LS1 Firebird running today

after 5.5 years of building and the past few weeks of troubleshooting why it wouldn't run, it is running. Even took it around the block. Still have some bugs to work out, but it's over the big hurdle. Great day today...

Congrats.

Is that bare metal and clear? Interesting scoops behind the doors, are they functional?

Awesome! Glad you stuck with it. I have a longtime project going and still haven't heard mine run yet.

Thx. Yes, I've cleared the bare metal for now. One day it'll get paint (Verdoro green) but not for a few years. I want to have worry free fun with the car for now (track days, etc) My last build I spent too much $$ on paint and had to worry about it constantly, clean it every time I drove it etc.

The scoops will be functional for rear brake cooling, but I got lazy and haven't hooked them up yet.

Bitchin' ride...I'm also glad to see someone shares my attitude on paint...

Did that once...most miserable thing ever having to worry about it, every time you want to use it...
