Default Hooker 3rd-gen F-body LS Swap System Preview

I'm creating this preview thread as a place for all the 3rd-gen F-body LS swappers on this forum to gather information about the new Hooker LS Swap System components that are to be released in the near future.

Many of you will have questions about the design of these components and their compatibility with other stock and aftermarket components, so ask away as it's the main purpose of this thread.

To start things off, the attached image will give you the basic idea of the tube routing for the 3rd-gen specific 2.5" dual exhaust that is part of the system. Along with this exhaust system, Hooker will be releasing engine swap mounting brackets, long-tube headers and a modular transmission crossmember set-up that will allow you to install a 4L60-4L70, 4L80, TH400, 2004R, 4th-gen T56 or T56 Magnum transmission.

There will be more photos posted as the project progresses towards completion and release.

Sweet, I've been planning to get headers for mine but haven't decided if I want the Hawks headers or if I want to be cheap and get the ones on ebay. More options would be great.

A scan of the market before beginning this project revealed a definite need for more options for this platform. Accommodating the 4L80 was high on the "must have" list and bolt-on compatibility with the Quicktime T56 bellhousing was as well.

Is this system designed around the stock shift cable bracket from a 700r4 mounted to a 4l80e?

No, it’s not. Although I’ve never tried it myself, I don’t think it’s even possible to put a 700R4 shift lever bracket onto the 4L80E selector shaft, Aftermarket shifters/cables are the easiest way to accomplish that installation and modification/welding to the stock 4L80E shift lever is generally required for those wanting to use a stock vehicle shifter and cable.

You the man Todd. I don’t have any Camaro’s but have read all the threads on the A-body conversions.

I just got the crossmember for my 91 camaro, haven't got it in the car yet, and was wondering what the deal is with the 2 bolts at the back where holes need to drilled out?? Are they mainly for structural integrity?? Thanks

Awesome thanks for the response! It's a beautiful crafted piece of steel almost a shame it's going under the car
