Default Anyone running manual heater core bypass valve ??

Thinking of doing a manual valve setup on my car. I recently changed my giant foxbody hvac system and installed a small stand alone heater. Now this heater is simple it's either going to run or be totally turned off including the coolant. I was looking into the factory setups (explorer and f body) but they all run off vacuum and I don't need that. Can any of the vacuum setups be manually set? Do they recirculate or just block the heater core ? I was also thinking just get a T fitting and some valves and valve off the heater core when not in use and open the circulation tube. Any help or ideas I'd appreciate.

Old air products. They make a cable pull bypass valve that works.

If it's an ls you need a 4 way mixer valve . You can't block flow or thermostat won't operate properly I went thru this on my swap . Car would overheat every time I shut heat off. They make a mixer valve that shuts off flow to heater, but keeps circut open for thermostat

Like this u could prob convert to manual
