I notice you're using Mitchell1 ProDemand. How do you like it?
Love the wiring work. You mentioned wiring "kit" in that last post. What kit are/were you using? I'm about to start marking my harness connectors.

Nice work ! My wiring is already keeping me up thinking aboout it and I haven't started. But since you like it I'll give you my address and room and board and you can do mine! lol Is thats braieded wire cover split or do you have to slip it over the wire ? Nice neat job.

Since I decided to go ahead and put a back seat in the car, I had to find one. This proved to be a lot harder than I thought, but I was able to finally track one down with some help from another forum. Now it's been pretty nice around here for February, so me in my infinite wisdom ( ) decided to hop in the old trusty Rusty and make a 225 mile one way trek to Iowa on the worst possible day! It was cold and snowy but I got the seat and some trim parts off of this cream puff.
My buddy with the red wagon is using a hammer and chisel to remove the few remaining pieces of solid metal holding the seat in. Luckily the car was so rusty it didn't take long.
We made a pit stop in Bethany on the way back. The truck was covered in ice, but look at that right rear hubcap.......
I had never seen anything like this before! Crazy ice formations!

The loom I'm using is mostly the split kind. It's not as nice as the non split, but it's way easier to work with. For smaller wires such as the injector wires, I'll be using the non split type.

Dude, do you work for the CIA or something? I cant believe you could tell that's what that was! But yeah, I like it, .... The wiring kit I'm using is an E-Z Wiring kit. I've used them a couple times before, and they are not too bad for the price, but they're not the most complete kit available. I knew I was going to be changing a bunch of stuff on it so it didn't really matter too much to me.

I love the 33 family truckster. Any build threads of that?

Side note; when my father was a kid he and his friends used to go by her house and see her sitting on her porch with her sister Emma. They died within 9 days of each other in June 1927.

Hahahaha! Actually, I'm an editor for Mitchell1. (former Senior Editor in charge of Nissan/Infiniti, wiring diagrams and TSBs) I like to ask people before they know I work for M1 so I get a truthful answer. I relay feedback to HQ so we can make improvements based on real life use. I use PD regularly since I still wrench on the side and there are days that I definitely want OD5 back. My job is to pour over and process data all day long. I'm itching to get my harness out of the box and start on it, but I know better than to get that far ahead of myself. I'm taking the block over to Mann Speed Specialty for cleaning, machine honing, and let them drive in my new cam bearings. I picked up the heads from Noland's this afternoon. You and Fast with Class do really nice work and it inspires me. Love looking at pics of y'alls handy work. Keep em coming!
It's never too early to start on the harness, especially if you're waiting on parts to come back from the machine shop, it'd give you something to do, and you'd be that much further ahead when it comes time to start wiring it.
The '33 and the Family Truckster are two different cars. No build thread on the '33, but there is a not so good one on the Truckster that I made when I was building it. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/fo...-replica.1951/
You want to hear something funny, when you were at Lizzy's house you were 6 blocks away from my house! I liv in the Riv. ( That's what the kids call it ) If you would have gone left out that driveway and gone to the second traffic light you could have seen part of my house. Go figure. I would have loved to have seen your car. Well now you have an open invitation. lol

Several days in..... Still.....wiring..... The fun of wiring is taking a toll on me! It's hard to take pics of wiring, so these are just some random shots. This was more towards the start.
Neutral safety switch plug.
Wiring the coils was more of a pain than I had expected.....
It gets tight back there with all the wires in place, but still workable.
In this shot you can see the MAP sensor mounted to the TB. Still need to make a hold down for it, but kind of screwed the pooch on its placement, so I can't make that the way I had planned..... I'll make a bracket and drill and tap the adapter to bolt it down to.
This bundle of wires keeps steadily growing.
Had to throw on a manifold and the air cleaner to get some inspiration back. Can't wait until this part is done for good!

Did you have to re drill the intake to TB? Thats gonna really look oldschool.

I like the way the top outlet comes out of the pump. It maybe the solution I need on mine. I am not happy about the way my top hose routing came out.
