Default ls1 fuel tank ideas

Would a stock fuel tank and pump out of a 2002 s-10 have enough fuel pressure to run a 2001 ls1? its going in a 72 chev pick-up short/wide

I think it might be a bit weak.. just use the tank and put a HP pump in (Walbro, etc). It not a whole lot more to add a good pump and filter... good insurance.

If it's a throttle body, no way (only 15 psi), port injection (45 psi) system will work OK, but you should change to a better quality pump anyway. Not sure about changing the pump on a throttle body system, if it will overpressure the rest of the components...

what about just a stock camaro tank? i know it would work but are there any better ideas? i saw the corvette tank and i would use it if it wernt a two piece. i was thinking if i could make a toolbox into a gas tank some how. i've seen diesel slip tank's that are over 100L. what would be a good fuel pump for that? do i need a regulator? or does the ls1 have one built in? thanks guys, i know i could look for hours on here and find answers but this takes less time. theres alot of usless threads

I think it's going to be less headache to either get an aftermarket tank for your truck or use the stock tank and add either an in tank pump or a pump on the framerail.

I dont think on your truck where there is plenty of option for the stock tank or aftermarket tank, trying to get a different vehicles tank to work is a worthwhile option.

AND, if you did search, and then ask, people will be more open to helping. Plus, you can see what problems they may have had, and will know what to do if you hit the same snag, AND you can even get other ideas too!

Here is a few I found from a quick search:
