Default Yup, another Mustang with an LS2, drag car.

1990 LX Hatchback....

It has a 9inch, narrowed 2inches, 15x10 rims, 275/60 drag radials to fit, but I will run the car in 27/11.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pros
stock fenderwells, stock suspension. stock lowers with adjustable uppers, custom traction bars.

Front suspension will be an AJE complete front end with 2in. drop spindles
custom 2in. headers with 4 in. exhaust.

engine is a 402 inch LS2, Lunati crank and rods, 12:1 compression, custom roller cam, Super Victor intake, MSD coil packs (or I might buy the front timing cover with the Ford distributor kit) I have Dart heads right now, but I might switch to ET heads. Custom Steve Johnson nitrous plate system.

With 10:1, regular victor jr manifold, it made 580hp n/a and 800hp on a 200shot. upgrading to more compression, better cam, manifold and more nitrous.

Looking to run high 8's to low 9's... Future plans, I will drop the compression and stick an f2 with a blow thru on it. Gotta get it running first.

Here are some pics....

HAHA.... I need to wire it and paint it and then I can put the engine in it.
Right now... there isn't anything under the hood...

If you want pics of the engine, I can supply those...

Did you have a msd 6ls ignition box in it? I have one on mine and can not get the ****** to fire. msd is pissing me off. They keep telling me to do this and that. And nothing has worked so far. I even sent it in and they said it checked out OK.

the engine is still at the dyno shop, but it has the
MSD coil packs, MSD 6010 and the adpater harness 8886

it made 589hp @6600 and 540tq@5400....
here is a pic....

I think I am going to port the heads and get a super victor for it and real cam. I also want to up the compression, it is only 10.5:1

What cam are you running? Which dart heads are they?

So you hooked the 6010 up and it work with no problem? I'm having trouble getting mine working.

Also, what gear are you running with the 27" tires? I have 27's and it has a 4.56 gear. I think that may be to much for the 1320. I also have a th400 with a 4500 vert.

Right now, it has 4.10's in it, but I will probably put 4.30's or 4.56's in it eventually.
The cam is only .600 lift and 236/240 duration and the Dart heads are out of the box unported LS heads.

How's the quality on the headers? Any problems with clearance? What about ground clearance? My car is going to sit pretty damn low

I have the 1 7/8" kooks in my swap and the passenger side header is less than 1/8" from touching the rail/shock tower but it clears. Beautiful headers...

Yeah, 1/8 inch is ok. you should have seen the clearance I had with the 408 and 2 inch headers..... I had to hammer the shick tower to get some room

Flightrisk, your car is beautiful man. I miss my 86 Coupe.

Thanks.... I like the color, but I am debating on what to do.

I am seriously thinking about powder coating the rims flat black and painting the car Hot Rod Black... I think it would look pretty sick blacked out
