Has anyone used there stock first gen camaro tank for a fuel injection setup? I would like some ideas instead of buying a 600 dollar rock valley tank. Wondering if there is another intank pump unit that will work in the stock take. Thanks for any help.

I just did a swap in a 69 camaro.I used the stock tank with a stock sending unit that had a return line on it.I then used walbro 255 inline pump with a external regulator.Works perfect but don't let the tank go below 1/4 full.

hi
use the c5 vett filer/regulator that has a return coming off of it...and return it back if your sending unit.if it already has an return tube (some do some dont) if not .drill hole in sender and add a fitting to hook a hose to and your ready to go.
ive know people to use this method and it worked fine

i used the in tank kit thats is in the sticky, that olly did. the one form tanks inc. comes with the pump and hardware, instructions and pretty easy to do, plus its quiter than an external pump and should last longer. people often forget that the fuel acts as a coolent to keep the pump from burning up, so the people that drive around on e burn up pumps faster. same idea as an external pump.
on a race car thats fine it doesnt run that long but on a street car i hgh volume pump will get hotter than a stocker and really benefitts from the gas kepping it cool.
just my $.o2
