I just solved the pulley interference on my 64 chevelle using the 300-020 dorman pulley. I am installing a 5.3 in a 64 chevelle and have the grand cherokee steering box also. With the truck pulley it needed about 1/4 inch smaller pulley to have clearance. With the 300-020 pulley I now have about 1/4 clearance to the bolt head on the PS box. Also I am using the mast pan, so I probably have mine installed lower than most as the mast pan is very thin.

The next picture shows how much extra I had to push it on to get it to line up. This is the most it could go and still allow me to get the puller on it to remove it later if needed.

The pulley was $22 new shipped to my door from rockauto.
