welll I finally popped the motor. Still runs but burns oil badly haha. So the car is completely apart. Going to do another junkyard 6.0. The car is now caged, front end was stripped down, had some factory welds fail on the front frame. So I rewelded the front end completely. Cleaned up all the parts that were on it, powdercoated some stuff, etc. I will post up some pictures of the progress.

no pics but trust me, it turned the car from a chick magnet, panty dropping machine into a "WTF, your car stinks and it smokes!!" panty pulling up machine in a hurry LOL
The engine went AND the rad popped 3 holes all at the same time. It was a mess

What flexplate did you use and did you have to use a spacer. Man sweet job on the exhaust manifolds, really nice..
Where did you get your V-Band Clamps at, and did you get them for a decent price?
thanks again for all the awesome info..
What acces. drive are you using on the engine. Like the layout, and am getting ready to put an LSX376 into my GN. Also man what a sweet job on the exhaust manifolds,

Either or really. The wow factor is there with the twins at car shows, thats for sure.
The manifolds wont work facing down on the drivers side with the truck accessories. Plus the steering shaft is in the way on the Chevelle.
PM sent on the TCI flex plate. Just a TCI 4l80e black in color flex. The only other one offered is grey by tci.

Finally got the pics loaded. After the engine came out I decided to clean the car up a little bit. Re weld the frame as the factory welds were gross, spatter all over the place, and I have to be a welder and have one. Here are some stripping pictures.
Upper control arm mounts were cut to clear the new uppers but was done years ago and not cleaned up well.
Both sides redone and cleaned up.

frame welded up
throw some krylon satin black down.
clean the suspension up and new upper control arms as I managed to bend both the uppers haha.
decided to build some rear lca's.
Also new NW throttle body with v band welded on.
lca's and braces back from the powder coaters.
stock steering shaft with new u joint connections to save space, lots of space when compared to stock.
decided to install an anti roll bar in the rear for the straight line duties. Can also see the panhard bar mount I ran awhile back. Stopped using it though as the frame side mount failed and never had a reason to pull the diff out to cut it off.
Now pull the diff out to weld tabs on, weld ARB mount to frame, clean diff up. etc.
hmmmm
