Thanks!
The intake will be backwards. The reason I'm doing a liquid to air intercooler is I'm out of room so we're putting the intercooler under the dash.

That's too cool. I own a Vega and want to do the same thing.
Is that a GTO oil pan? I'm guessing you'll be fabbing up a set of exhaust manifolds/headers.

It is a GTO oil pan. My brother owns Vettes and performance so I'll leave the turbo kit up to him. We're going to try to use stock truck manifolds.

many turbo race vehicles do this with air/water intercoolers behind the dash. one of the many reasons is weight distribution and keeping hot temps as far away from the intercooler as possible.

Good points. I would just do an air to air to keep things simple but I'm out of room up front. cost will be a few bucks more but it should make more power and be more consistent. Works for me.

Wow, I'd be pissed if I got my doors blown off by a Pinto! Especially one with the somewhat "disco era" kind of stripe package. I'm assuming that's factory, right? Looks like something from the '70's. Good luck with it!

Yeah, that's the first thing that I thought when I saw the first pic - "Oh man, those stripes are totally '70s!"

Cool project, I'll be watching this one.

MMM Charlie's Angels. Thanks for all the compliments. The stripes stay and if and when we paint the car I'll be looking for some replacement stripes.
I cut out the crash bars tonight and lost 18lbs.
I should have the motor put together this weekend and have the finished motor and trans in next weekend!
