Question Procharged Ls motor into a 69 Camaro any body done one ?

Hi guys
Putting together a 69 camaro and I want put in a Procharged LS3 - LS7 but it's all got to fit under a 2 inch cowl hood and I want air con and power steering. I am chasing information on how to go about it, I would like to run with a F1R procharger as I would like to get around 1000hp mark.

Thanks in advance

Greg

Haven't actually seen one yet. I have seen a kenne bell and a few maggies. I would say a starting place would be the GTO or Vette blower mounts because the F-body puts the blower down low on the driver side and there isn't much room there on most swaps.

I dont know how big the engine bay is on the old camaros but they've put prcharged ls1s in much smaller cars using the stock hood..

not sure if you want FI or carb-the FI is def lower than running a carb
i run a procharger in my 69 chevelle, but use a carb
im running the corvette front drive seup, and a d1sc with an 8 rib conversion
procharger told me i could fit an f1r in like it is, but not sure my air intake would then fit-i have about 4" from the rad. to the lip on the procharger
the F body setup might work-you might try their web site, look at the diff setups and see how they look
i only used the vette s/c and brackets, made up the rest of the setup to fit
i run a 2" cowl hood, but think it would fit with the stock hood-Procharger is working on a universal kit, but i think its a few months away yet
i used an ATI balancer, but w/o the AC pulley-the chevelle chassis gets in the way of the ac, but it can be made to fit
i run the vette p/s setup also

Haha i wouldnt be worried about only having a 2" cowl hood with 1000rwhp. I think a kennebelle would fit as a carb and hat fits with Ford_ind has mentioned. Thats almost 7" right there over a stock LS1 manifold. With a 3" air cleaner my setup clearned the victor JR with a carb on top of it.
