Hmmmm that last one looks perfect. I'll have to throw mine up and see what I can get for it. Might not be as out of reach as I thought. Definetly let me know if you find any more in that price range.

But need this soon as I'm planning to go to Canada next weekend for Drift Mania maybe?
Holy crap man, u got it good with trailers over there. They'd be twice as much where I'm from.

Do it up at Drift Mania dude. There's someone else with a LS13 over there
You should come out west if you get a trailer. I'm putting an LS1 in my s13 coupe and gettin it spec'd up for the Drift Mania west series. It'd be fun

Where are you located?

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Drift Mania. People only tell me good things. And now I think it's the only way for east coast people to get invited to pro am finals. They were supposed to give out invites to people at HIN pro am events, but just read on the pro am site that they're not doing it anymore because of some dispute with HIN? I don't know. So it's Canada or nothing!

And whatever happened to US Drift/pro am partnership? Now US Drift basically doesn't count for anything?

Anyway, looking forward to Canada and maybe some west coast action. Looking for trailers like crazy.

Car looks good, just curious how much did you cut down your pro 50 handle? Also did you leave it pitched to the left? Mine seems awful close to the ebrake...

Sucks to hear that about the pro-am. that's kind of the route I want to go to.

I'm in Vancouver, BC. It'd be cool to see you out this way as i've been subscribed to this thread for a while now. Only shitty thing for you being from out east with decent tracks is that all the tracks in BC are crap. All circle tracks, but at least some have paved infields. Alberta has some nice ones though.

Hoping for the car to be ready for the 3rd DMCC west round on Vancouver Island. (Basically as far as you could possibly drive going alsmost straight east from where you are, lol)

And great driving in that awsome cage cam video. Everytime i hear that car drifting I get motivated to finish mine.

I actually switched back to the stock shifter. With the Pro 5.0, the front stopper bolt was hitting the edge of the shifter hole, which I couldn't bend since the hydro e-brake was welded there. So would have to run with no front stopper bolt, which is like the main reason I bought the shifter. A couple of other little things annoyed me about it, so switched back to stock. Also, it feels almost the same as stock so didn't see the point.

Yeah, would really like to come out west at some point this year. Oval tracks could be fun. Speed! I've never been on an oval track. Good luck with your build and season. Hopefully we'll meet up at Pro Am finals! Haha. Long way to go though.

Awesome. Read read read. Hey, I got a couple LS1 books you can borrow if interested. But they'll probably tempt you to modify the LS2... haha.

A few pictures from the Scranton Hot Import Nights trip:

Was an awesome time. Too much to describe. Will look around for some action pics/vids later in the week.

Alright, so looks like Canada isn't happening now since I was supposed to register three weeks in advance and get licensed, so don't think I can make the first round. This sucks. Found a trailer and trying to pick it up now, but still have to register it and get hitch for Durango. Also, have a bunch of things to do on the car.

So going to take the weekend to prep the car nice for D-faction next Friday in Lebanon again and Hyperfest in WV the following day. In the meantime, going to try to register for later Canada events.

I'm going to order stuff for better cooling setup soon.

- Better fans
- Already have oil cooler
- Oil thermostat
- All the lines and fittings

What oil temp do you people have in normal driving and when beating on cars? I'm researching thermostats, and I read something saying that oil temp under 210 degrees is bad. Mine never gets above 185 in normal driving. Gets to 230 during moderate beating and 240 during heavy beating.

Registering the trailer is easy. Anything below 10,000 lbs is non-titled in NJ you just need the bill of sale. It's $20 or $30 and goes from march to march and is 2 year. Mine expired this year but I haven't needed it since November so I haven't re-registered it yet.

Oh and I still want that muffler, gotta get down there one night and pick it up.

Alot of nascar teams run oil to water intercoolers that are built into the radiator without oil thermostats. This gets your oil down to within 20 degrees of your water temps. The LS1 runs at 190+ stock, so even without a cooler thermostat you're looking at 210ish oil temps. But most people run 160 thermostats which would put your oil temps below 180 which is pretty low, presuming everthing is up to snuff.

There is nothing inherently wrong with cooler oil temps if your engine was designed to run on lower viscosity oils (has tighter clearances). If you start seeing oil temps below 200, I'd call the Redline tech line with your main bearing clearance measurements (or stock specks) and gets some advice on what weight oil to run.

PS Saw you make a few runs at Drift Bash. Side pipes sounded excellent. I could tell it was you running from the pit entrances!

you should do a regular cab silverado duramax swap! that would pull those trailers very nicely :]..Also are you looking for open trailers or are you set on enclosed? J/W cause ive been pulling my car around in a 22ft by 8 enclosed and its a pain in the butt to get out of the car once its in the trailer. but then again there are a bunch of benefits of having an enclosed trailer..just a thought and great job on everything! lol just watched a video with a short clip of you on wreckedmagazine.com pretty sick! it was a little bit of a ride along and some of you passin by..Sick car dude!

Come over and say hi next time! Better yet, bring your car to the June 24th night event at e-town. It's open to everyone. Need more LS action at these events.

Well, I pretty much have to climb out my window anyway, so don't care about that. I'd love to have an enclosed trailer since my car has no windows... lol, but can't afford something like that. Also, I'm trying to find the lightest trailer possible so that I have more freedom in what I can tow it with. Most capable thing I have access to is an oil-burning durango with 230k miles... so don't want to stress it too much with giant enclosed trailer. Blah, never realized that a proper towing setup costs way more than the racecar.

Thanks for the input. I did some reading and found that > 210 oil temp is good because any water that condensed in the oil will evaporate when the oil gets that hot. The oil will lubricate better with no water mixed in. I guess this isn't a huge concern when you're just driving around since you're not stressing the motor and don't need to get the most out of your oil. So not going to worry about the low oil temp.

Based on the reading I did, I would say 210-220 is the "ideal" oil temp that you want to shoot for. Since I'm only seeing 230-240 oil temps when running hard, I'm going to hold off on the oil cooler for now. Also using synthetic which should hold up much better to the higher oil temp.

I ordered a Flex-A-Lite 2500 cfm 12" dual fan setup last night. So hopefully that can keep the coolant temp below 200 and possibly lower the oil temp 10 degrees also. I'll see what that does and decide about oil cooler after. So far taking off the bumper and hood have been really effective at cooling things down, so always have that as a last resort.

Yeah, side exhaust is the way to go. A couple people that I did tandem with said that they couldn't even hear their own cars when they were following me... haha!

Yeah, still got the mufflers. Need to get rid of a lot of stuff because moving out of the garage and into Slidewayz shop in the next month or two.
