Default Camaro/C10 Header Myth

Do 4th Gen LS1 camaro headers really work in a LS1 C10 swap? I hear stories about it being done, with only modification to the drivers side collector. Is this true? All opinions appreciated.

Hopefully this weekend or next I'll try the stock truck manifolds, Hooker Longtubes, and Pacesetter longtubes in my 70 SWB's mockup

Oh yeah, my pacessters were free, so if they don't fit right away then I'll do like lsxyj and cut the old flanges off and weld new ones on to move them inwards 3/8-1/2 inch

98-02 fbody manifolds will work also...
The doug thorleys won't on 73 and up, only 67-72
I am running the s&p headers, fit great no clearance problems at all even w/ a 4l80

Ok cool. I was looking at some F bod headers, and they have strange little tube coming out right by the flange on one side, is this part of smog stuff? Can they be removed?

search the 67-72 forum ad I think the Mast Motorsports thread lists them also. But they aren't cheap like a smallblock header
