Yeah here's a pic with the transmission cooler lines going to it, I've been searching around and it seems most g-body radiators you get from the parts store will have that port, and it looks like people may be using it for a coolant level switch.

And here's a picture of the plug that goes in the hole, maybe I can take the plug to a hardware store and check the plumbing section to see what fits that plug and that will tell me what size it is.

I don't guess I have heard of anyone doing a swap that kept the coolant level sensor.

I'll be going with silverado upper and lower hoses, and i'll be going with an electric fan setup from a late 90's dodge intrepid. Most g-body guys i've seen that swap to electric fans either use the intrepid fans or a single fan from a ford taurus.

Me either, I bought this 3/4" to 1/4" reducer with a 1/4" barbed fitting to go in that hole to use for the steam tube but 3/4" is too big and won't thread in. I'm thinking it may be 1/2" but i'm not sure.

MalibuRacing, why do you need to run a temp probe? Although factory 99-04/05 trucks didn't come with electric fans stock, you can program a signal into the factory DBC PCM to have cts parameter set to turn on signal in pcm, so the cts effectively controls the fan.

I'm running a factory copper replacement from Advance Auto and it cools well, runs around 190 all the time even in the summer. Running a clutch fan with an electric fan "emergency" pusher.

Well I took the threaded plug in to work and I found that it threaded perfectly into a 1/2" female pvc fitting, so I just ordered a 1/2" to 1/4" bushing through Summit.
