It would'nt be a hard choice for me ,it wou'ld be pretty hard to beat the packege of chevyII and ls motor to me.The impala is pretty cool with the lt1 already.Make somthing out of that chevyII and put a good ls motor in it,you wont be sorry.

Put the lt1 in the nova and ls1 in the impala, then they both will be faster than they were.

Nova. There are a ton of aftermarket front clips you can use to make the swap easy. The body is light, and you could probably get it into the 10s with a decent cam, converter and gear.

X2! Get the LT1 carb intake from GM, drop in your Novas distributor, carb and go. It will def be a fun ride, as the GM carb intake is worth 30ftlbs over the stock efi intake.

I read all of the posts in this thread, & had to think about it for a little while before I could make up my mind, because either one would be highly cool. Ultimately though, I'm thinking that the Nova would be a lot more fun once it's done. The lighter weight will give you better performance as well as better economy, which would mean that you could drive it more frequently when gas prices go back up. And having a long-term project isn't necessarily a bad thing either...

Good luck either way.

Nova. it would be more unique and the impala already has a 383 lt1...just cause its an lt1 doesnt mean it isnt a great engine. plusyou get all the added benefits like you stated earlier. im not sure if someone makes swap kits for novas but a ls1 and T56 would be insanely awesome in an old nova...then all you need is a rear end if you dont have one and those are easy to come by for old cars and not as expensive..
