Default two cars one ls1 motor help me choose

well im still debating on what car to stick my 383 ls1 in. i have a 63 nova and a 95 impala both cars are great but the impala is my pride and joy. here are some ups and downs on each and please feel free to express your opinon.

nova
up's
lighter
tubbed
caged
no smog needed.
-downs
needs
front clip
fuel system.
transmission
driveline
etc about 6+grand of stuff and theres no work for me right now!

impala
up's
better car i think
cheaper to do the swap on.
its a sleeper
has a built 60e in it.
-downs
heavier
smog needed
cant use as daily driver anymore.

nova

Less restrictions. You loose your DD and you need to buy a new one. add $5k just for that!

I like the impala's, but the smog restrictions are a PITA

You like the Impala better, do it.
Project cars are about building what you like, to hell with what everyone else thinks!!

Oh, and my $.02... also swap in a T56.
I had an LT1 T56 95 Caprice 9C1 with 4.10s-----> fun car!!
More powerful LS1 + T56 = even more fun!!

Put it in the Nova and take your time getting it everything it needs. As work picks back up you'll make more progress. In the mean time, DD your Impala and enjoy it.
