New project colorado Well I found another project. I picked up this little colorado on ebay a week or so ago. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= . Ive alreay pickep up a complete 6.0 engine with a 4l80e with 7000 miles on it out of a wrecked 3500 box van. I found cpwire http://www.currentperformance.com/Sa...loradoLS2.html they sell engine mounts for it and the 6.0 looks to have the same setup as the factory 5.3 that the new colorados are coming out with.
Im wondering if the engine harness from the new 5.3 colorados will make the 6.0 essentially a plug n play deal with a reflashed pcm to control the engine and tranny? Im planning to put a ls6 intake on the 6.0 too.

You wouldn't be able to use the new colorado wiring harness. Unless you swapped out the bcm/tcm/pcm. I'm "pretty" sure of it. I'll see if I can find the thread about it over on www.355nation.net
Cool, I didn't realize the Colorado would have the 5.3 now. Not sure why they didn't always.
Of course GM doesn't put them in reg cab 2wds. And no manual trans w the 5.3...
Come on GM, put a 5.3/T56 in a reg cab 2wd and make a real SS truck!

I have a friend that picked up his LS powered Colorado in DEC. He was at the dealer trying to spec out a newer version of an extreeme and the salesman found the SS in the option list. Phildo ordered it and it was delivered a week before Chevy announced that there would be a delay in shipping the LS powed Collies. His is way cool... Metalic Black Pearl, sweet color. Truck runs very strong and handles to boot. I still say my Miata will give it a run for the money though. Of course he has to give me til spring to get the LS in it.... Chris

I was wondering if anyone knew if the 4l80e would fit in the trans tunnel on the colorado? I dont want to have to do any major cutting.trimming , If thats the case I will be going with the 4l60e.

Info on Colorado Swap There's a guy that posts here as "scatalliac" (has an LS7, CTS-v).
Know he just did a Colorado with a 6.0 and T-56.
His real name is Carl McDaniel and he's a pretty good guy (known him since "forever").

Wow looks like you got a really good deal on that colorado off of ebay for the money and it doesnt look torn up that bad. I was just looking in the new sport truck and there was a guy with a standard cab SS he built in there with an LS1 its NICE!! Really got me to thinking as well.
I wouldlike to follow your build on here if you detail it all here.

Well I got my Colorado and Ive been busting tail on the bodywork, I took it to the frame shop today so they can laser check the frame and work out any kinks or bends. They should have it all straight by the end of the week ready for me to bolt up all my new shiny parts. I got my new wheels today , a set of 20x9 Akuza Blades with a set of 265/45/20 toyo proxes. Pics soon. Ive been talking to Jared at CPwire about all the conversion mods.

Well Ive been busy , here are some pics of my truck now that Ive painted some parts and beaten some dents out. I still have a lot of bodywork left but she looks like a truck again . Pic of 2003 6.0 with 7k motor too.
