Default V6 Vert to LS1 Question

When putting a LS1 in a V6 vert, do you need a k-member from a v-8 vert?

I modified mine to work. It takes a lot of work to do this. At the time I did my swap they were not around. The bolts holes for the mounts are different. This is the only difference. As far as the vert that does not matter they should all be the same ie LS1 to LS1.

I had heard or read somewhere that the vert k-member had extra bracing...thats why im asking before I get the weaker of the two.

Not that I am aware of. But you could be right. I will check into this some more. Don't want to mislead anyone. I thought all the extra bracing stayed with the car.

The K member is the same except for some tapped holes for the chassis stiffener that runs from the k member to the body.

I will have one (from a coupe) to sell you this weekend if your interested.
