LS2 Swap into 62 Impala
I'm new to the site. I purchased a LS2 out of a 08 Trailblazer SS complete with trans, wire harness, ecu, fuse box, gas pedal, all sensors, etc. I want to install it into my 62 impala. I want to eliminate as many problems as possible before i begin the swap. What do i need? Has anyone done this swap? Where can i get the engine and trans mounts from? Do i have to convert to the car accessories for clearance or will the truck accessories be ok? What about the Oil pan, does it need to be replaced? What is the simplest wiring harness to purchase? What type of radiator do i have to use in order to hook up the trans lines? Should i use the drive by wire gas pedal or convert to cable?
I pretty much need a detailed guide of what to do. All of your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! I have been search the site and havent come across what im looking for. I would like to purchase the least expensive parts as long as they dont comprise quality.

If it doesnt fit, im gonna need to find out my next best solution, at minimal cost.
I have a LS1 Performance book at home that claims an N/A 6.0L LQ4 with an 02 LS6 Cam and LS6 Heads will net about 400hp. It claims that the higher compression of the engine is bled off by the longer duration of the LS6 cam at low RPM but pumps up the high RPM horsepower. However it mentions that you will have to use premium fuel. If you decided to boost you car however - keep the stock LQ4/LQ9 heads because they have larger chambers.
Not that any of that has anything to do with the intake however lol.

Glad you are back updating us, its funny to see how long it takes many of us awhile to get things done. A nice "Real World" thread.
What tube arms are you running? Looks like the lowers are for coil springs?
The drop spindles are the same as the ones I have had sitting to put on for almost 2 years. Let us know how they work out, are you running the standard brake swap with them? I am thinking I want to run larger brakes now and not sure they will work with the spindles.
Looking forward to updates!
