Just wanted to post some pics of a car thats going together at work. Going to be a badass ride when its all finished. Since these pictures the wheel centers have been powdercoated the same color as the intake. It is a dark bronze color that matches the graphics on the car. In the 2nd picture the engine is completely wired except for the plug wires.

Looks awesome. Off topic question- why do shops use those wooden "boxes" to support vehicles? I want to build some for my truck. Do they hold it higher than regular jackstands?

Thanks. Ill try to get some updated pics as it comes together. The whole car is almost wired, and is completely covered in dynomat. The airride is plumed, and other bits and pieces are getting finished.
Its higher than jackstands, and the car can sit on its tires while you are working on it. I think it is much more stable than jackstands also. It also makes it really easy to switch between jackstands and the blocks.

thats all they are with some screwed holding them together. I really like that the car is up in the air enough to work under it, and it is on its wheels. Almost every car that leaves our shop is on airride, so it really helps when setting everything up and checking for clearance issues.
