MAP Sensor + Carb
#6
If you have the Victor Jr intake, there is a hole right under the carb mounting pad that is 1/2" NPT (I think) tapped. You can screw in a 1/2" NPT to hose barb fitting there. The 6010 box should have come with a bracket to mount the MAP sensor to one of the carb studs, or you could make one yourself. It's a simple bracket.

yeah 1//8" npt, the other hole is a 3.8" npt. I used a 2" long piece of 1/8" npt brass pipe, male on both ends, threaded the one side into the victor jr intake, the other side i slipped a 5/16" vac line over and hooked it to the MAP sensor. I monted my map sensor on one of the studs on the heater box. My map sensor was from a grand prix though. They all do the same thing just make sure you get a 3 wire one with a connector.

If you look at the bottom of the intake you can see where I drilled and tapped it, 3/8 npt I think. GMPP carb intake. I got a brass plug and drilled that out to accept the MAP sensor. I cut a few threads off of the brass plug so it set flush with the base of the inside of the intake.

As far a I know you only need to provide a vacuum source from the intake, weather it be the fitting from the top, or from the bottom its measuring the same vacuum. I am running the MSD 6012 box and it seem's to read it fine. And to answer your other question the bolts came with my intake (GMPP L 92)

I just connected mine to a vaccum port on the base of the Holley carb. Just make sure you use the lower port. I then made a tab out of flat sheet metal that I bolted to a coil pack bolt. Holds the sensor just fine.
