Default Harness info?

Which forum section has all the harness mod info? I am assuming that a great site like this has a forum section with all the harness info. I was hoping to find out exactly what I need to grab from the donor truck, how to modify the harness [remove what I don't need], and diagrams on how to hook this rats nest back up.

I browsed through the ecm section but didn't specific harness info.

Thanks for the help!

Go up top to the stickies, find the FAQs and you will see a large selection of wiring data. Good luck

Let me start by saying I am sorry for being so thick in the head!!

Ryan, thank you for your time. Are you talking about the FAQs in the PCM Diagnostics and tuning forum? If so, I have been through that thread and all links look to be about software, tuning, diagnostics and particular parts of the engine management [I admit, I haven't clicked on every link and read through every thread, but I have read a shiteload]. Has everyone else figured out the Harness mods simply by reading bits and pieces of the "MAF" and "VE Table" threads? Or is there in fact a "Harness" and/or "wiring" FAQ that I am just too dense to find?

Thanks again!

Uhhhhhhh.....
Please disregard my last reply. I found the FAQ in the conversions & Hybrids forum. For anyone else looking looking for harness info,...... go to stickies in this forum, then to LSX Swap FAQ and Hall of Fame Threads sticky by nineball then to LS swap Frequently Asked Questions link. or go here....
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...swap-faqs.html

Thanks again guys.

Rob,
I modifyed my harness from a 2003 Tahoe and relocated the pcm to the area above the glove box. I untaped, unbundled and rerouted all the wires
for the pcm thru the firewall right behind the intake. Had pleanty of length
to reach above the glove box. It doesn't take that large of a hole if you pass
the connectors thru the firewall one at a time.

I'm also using the Current Perf. conversion box, The leads out of the box are labled where to hook to your engine harness.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the way I ran things and can't get any right now because every thing is apart for paint.

Hope this helps
Malcolm

Thanks man,
did you figure out everything you needed for harness modification from this forum? Or did you have other information?

Sounds like the current performance box is the way to go. I assume this is the only fuse/relay box you need, correct? this makes the truck fuse box un-needed right?

Thanks

I got a ton of good info from this site, but I also subscribed to
Alldatadiy.com for the 2003 Tahoe my pullout came from. Which was
I think, a good $25.00 investment.

The current performance box should be all you need to make your harness
standalone.

Malcom,
did you just use the diagrams at alldatadiy.com or was there some sort of other info. If you just used the diagrams I would assume having access to alldata is just as good, huh?

Thanks again

Rob,
Alldatadiy had diagrams of how everything feeds, also had drawings of all plugs with pinouts of each plug and the color of each wire in the plug.

Just takes a while to sift through all the info.
