Thanks
I really wanted to put z06 rims on her but the 10 inch width is going to be a PITA and I'll have to tub it in the back (not to mention the front is going to be a PITA as well), so honestly, I'm not sure... Something with a lip, black, and chrome trim - and 5x4.75" bolt pattern, I don't want to deal with spacers.
My vision in designing this car was as follows: Modern European Style meets Classic American Ideals.
I wish I would have been smart like you and cleaned up the firewall first I love the way that looked.
Thanks
Just my $.02 is have him swap the motor first... I know I'm going to cringe when I am pulling the fenders off since it's going to be brand new paint... and I'm going to be OCD about not scratching it.

New Paint Job - Wiring Harness comes in this week from American Auto Wire - Spent $600 to my door - updated kit with new blade fuses - as opposed to the old glass ones that are in this electrical nightmare of a car - P.S. The car is extremely dirty in the pics - the metal flake on the color really isnt showing... gotta wash it and wax it and take new pics
Pics with my girlfriends camera from two weekends ago... have to take some with my new DSLR

So I just realized something... The Update kit I ordered from American Auto Wire is the update kit, with blade fuses... any ideas on merging an lq4 wiring harness to the update kit?

Can I get a link to the thread on LiL? Been toying around with this idea for 3 or 4 years no wand still havent done anything. I think I would feel more comfortable if there were an in depth build thread on an x-frame somewhere Especially one done on the cheap (but correctly).

Thanks Working on getting the parts ready for the swap... Got the swap motormounts from carshopinc.com - they came scuffed and mispackaged (the plates and screws were literally just thrown in the box), called them up to get a replacement - Regardless, from my understanding the LQ4 Bolts up to the original powerglide, for budget issues, I might just stay that route... Save me a couple hundred bucks.

I personally have not torn my car apart cause I love driving it... I live in New York, I can't drive it in the winter, and it's pointless to start a project if you don't have the funds to complete it... So I'm Stocking up parts day by day until I have everything I need and then I'll dive into the project... that's my philosophy... Work Smarter, Not Harder.

I have seen that build several times. You are right in that they tell you everything....if you buy their products and spend a fortune. The issue I have is doing this on a budget.
Some questions I have and haven't seen answers for. (I have a '63 Biscayne wagon.)
- Will the truck intake fit under a stock hood? I saw a picture awhile back, but never saw any info nor it with the hood closed.)
- What about truck accessories? Including A/C? Do they fit with a small notch in the frame rail?
- Gas tank, what can I do while keeping the stock location (In drivers side rear 1/4.) as I need the rear footwell for the 3rd row seat.
Remember all of these are on a budget. I know everyones is different, but I want to be able to do the swap for $2.5K. With everything including trans. Thats why I have been thinking truck swap as they are much cheaper.
Thanks in advance for any help!

If you look on layitlow for the green mile there is a guy running a truck 5.3 with a turbo without issues in a 60 wagon. I think He is using the truck accessories/pulley system due to how the alternator is mounted. You should be able to keep your gas tank as well but you will have to tap it for a return line or go with one of the single line kits.

Thanks! I'm going to PM him after I read the entire thread. He's running a car intake but I want to read the tread bf I ask him any questions. Thanks for the lead. I talked with a mechanic friend at church about a few things today. Hope to get a spreadsheet going of my options in the next week or so.
