Beautiful car man. Just talked my buddy into an LS Iroc for his next build. May end up talking him into a white one as well. That engine and tranny are spotless. Did you buy them that clean or what? How did you clean them if not. Have one in my garage now getting ready to go in my 240 and would love for it to look that good. By the way I have the same garage floor as you. Did you use the clearcoat on yours to get it that shiny? If so, how does it seem to hold up?
The engine I bought was installed in a plane, and flew about 20hours. The guy then swapped it for an ls7. Block and heads were red, front/rear/pcv/pan were yellow, man damper was white. He said that he painted it that way to make it easier to inspect before flight (exhaust leak, oil drip etc). The engine was a bit dirty and there was no way in hell I was installing it in the car that way. I stripped all the paint with aircraft paint remover then I washed it with paint thinner, then rinsed with water.
The tranny was already spotless, it came from an anniversary car that the owner converted to drag race (dont ask me why). He converted it to automatic, so I snagged it from him. It has about 15k miles... supposely.
I put 2 coats of clearcoat on the floor. That coating is the best thing I ever did. Its resistant, easy to wash and looks very good. The only thing that got thru the clear is MIG sparks.

Ok, its been long enough. Time for a big update!
I have all the parts needed to make this thing yell. I still need to finish wiring here and there but the "make it run" part is covered.
First thing, I cant thank Stainless Works enough for such a good fitting header. They easily went in from the top WITH the damn STB still installed... clearance is awesome. Its not touching anything, anywhere. It literally took me 20 mins to install them and torque the bolts. All the spark plugs are accessible with the torque wrench. Day and night diffrence with my old L98 w/shorties. I will get them ceramic coated once the engine runs and is tuned.
The radiator is more than I expected too. The first test fit in the car blown me away. Its the 1st time I see an aftermarket radiator for the 3rd gens actually fitting. No banging on the frame rails or cutting the rad mounts. This is truly a direct install. Its a 3 row core from Champion cooling fully tig welded. I still need to put it in the car and do the final install. I also personalized it a bit.
I also received my gauges. I went with the Phantom II serie from Autometer. They are installed in a Covan Classic gauge trim. The 3 pod pillar is from Speedhut... Ill see how this fits later, hopefully better then the autometer pillar. All the sensors are installed on the engine. I have to do all the wiring for the gauges tho. I know Autometer is coming soon with a wideband Phantom II gauge, Ill add it later. The idiot lighs are from Painless. Green for flashers, blue for high beams and reds for brakes and SES.
I fabbed my Cold air intake. Used 4" pieces and piping. Relocated the air filter in the passenger fender, in front of the wheel. I also relocated the IAT as far as I could from the engine. Im very pleased with the finished look. Im probably gonna send the middle pipe for ceramic coating when I send in the headers.
Gas, brake and clutch pedals are all installed and working. I have to finish the front brake lines and the master cylinder lines. Horns are in too.
What to do this week:
Go get a jug full of gas.
Double check fuel lines.
Double check wiring.
Double check all the torqued bolts on the engine.
Install gauges.
And hmmm... oh yeah. Put oil in engine before firing.
Stay tuned for a video pretty damn soon.

Mine fired quick ilke that too...scared the crap out of me. I wasnt even recording because I figured it sat for awhile...no way will it fire up without some cranking. It sounded like an explosion! haha.
Congrats on getting her running! I really like the fact that you tore that car down so far, and you are taking your time and doing everything perfect. One of these days I want to tear my 86 to pieces and rebuild it to that sort of standard. You are enticing me with that white paint too... I dont think I can go white, but man, does that ever look clean.
You are going to have one of the nicest 3rd gen Camaros around when you are finished with that car man...
