Congrats on getting it fired up. I did my swap 3 years ago and I still remember that first fire-up of the LS motor.

Congrats on the start up. Did you tune for SD ? I didn't see a MAF sensor. Where did you get the hoses for your intake system and what size are they ? It looks really good ! Dean

Thanks guys. Yes, I got a Speed Density tune and I got the CAI piping and fittings at intakehoses.com, they are 4". Big thanks to Ghettocruiser for the tip on the hoses.

Nice video! I didn't read about the engine that's in the car, is that a stock block with a stock cam? It's kind of hard to tell in the video if it has any sort of lope because the loudness seemed to have maxed out your mic on the camera haha

hehe, yeah man. The mic got owned. The engine is basically a stock headed ls1. It has a ls6 intake and the basic bolt-ons. I started it stock to avoid troubleshooting a modified engine. Mods to come...

I worked on my cluster today.
Sorry about the shitty quality... I need to invest in a new camera. Wiring a complete cluster is a pita. I think it looks bad *** tho, well worth the 3-4 hours sorting out wires. I installed 2 connectors to allow easy removal and installation. 1 for the power and grounds, the other for the sensor signals and idiot lights. I didnt fire the engine with the cluster connected yet. It should be working great tho *crosses fingers*

Wow that looks incredible. I should have my dad get something like that for his '89 IROC that we're doing a swap on.

I suppose there isn't a company that makes something like that for the '90-'92 cluster is there?

Ok guys, big update coming tomorrow with pics/video and everything.

The car idles super smooth @ 700rpm, but I cant get it to rev smoothly, it hesitates, shakes and runs like crap when I open the throttle. Its not trying to die tho, just runs really rough. Im getting 2 DTCs. P1514 and P1518.

P1514 --> TAC System MAF Performance
P1518 --> PCM to TAC module

Now, I had the PCM tuned for Speed Density by wait4me. I dont have any MAF. I know a defective MAF would propably cause something like Im experiencing right now, but whats up with the TAC part? Im using a cable operated TB. I dont have a TAC module and Im running a stock 02 SS tune which doesnt use a TAC module. Im at loss here...

Now I red that P1518 can be set if battery voltage is low. Battery voltage was very low at some point when I did all my tests, so maybe that was it. Ill charge the battery full tonight and try to delete it tomorrow.

Thats the only codes Im getting, what am I missing? Engine has 2 grounds to chassis using 0 gauge wires.

What would cause an engine to idle very smooth but running like crap under throttle condition? Its undrivable at the moment, its even worse under load condition (aka wheels turning).
