Thanks for taking the time to talk to me on the phone. I needed some motivation . Basically after we talked, I/we came to the conclusion that my converter was way off(which it was according to Greg @ FTI) and the tiny carb that is on it.
I swapped out the redneck 4k converter this past weekend for a custom 9" 5200-5500 FTI piece. Now I'm waiting on my Pro- Systems carb. I hope to have it by the middle of next week.
I also got to thinking about my cam. I'm running a Texas Speed 233/239 cam. Another guy on Tech had a major issue with a tsp cam. It was ground all F'ed up, like 23* retarded.... I think the first chance I get, I'm going to tear down the front of the motor and stick a degree wheel on it. I know I should have done it to begin with, but....

LOL, man, i have another forum i posted your thread on to **** with the ford guys and man, it started a 20 page **** storm about they can do what your doing too with a stock 351 butt hey cannot prove it, so we have a couple wanting to see a vid of your car doing 9s.
Some bitched about the fly cutting the pistons saying that made a difference and the 799 heads were not stock, but we had to tell them it was off a stock 6.0 from a car, nothing special.

Oh, I prob wont change for good but I have been thinking about it for Education/Learning Experience purposes..There not much for me to learn more about the Ford stuff that I wanna learn so maybe somethn new soon...

Man you have me wanting to ditch the 408 sbc out of my car ASAP! I really think you need to do some back to back testing with your current heads and some stock L92's. Alot of people would LOVE to see it. I am still blown away how fast it is....

EFI or Carb
I just started this project, 90 GT full tub 33 x 18.5 x 15 tire, coil overs, K member, 8 pt cage, rear diff 35 spline axle with spool and 456 gears, building 6.0 L LQ4, heads (317) full port and polish, stainless steel valves. Not sure to go EFI or Carb and still need to pick a transmission/converter? would like to run in the Outlaw big tire class 1/8 mile.
