You should Purge the EVAP system into the engine in my opinion.
I am not saying you need a sealed system and all the EVAP functions.
If the car is out in the sun and the fuel "petro" starts to heat and off gas aka evaporate the canister will store the fuel. Then the PCM will turn the purge valve on and you will use the petro instead of letting it evaporate into the air. Back in the 70's they used evap systems and some device to control purging way before computers came along.
hey I will work up the other stuff now.
- It is free gas that you would be wasting
- The Calibration is built for the extra fuel during purge
- I now that some EVAP Canisters have the Vent Valve built in

Dear AJ and everyone else,
The evap system is still removed, but now with your advice I will put it back on later. First I would like to finisch the rest of my wiring harness...
I have been looking to the ECM schematics, great help, some stuff is becomming more clear to me, but when all kind of dots and relays are in the drawing I am completly lost.
Here is my updated list of wire connections, I hope you can add and answer my questions... again

Thanks AJ!
I've een looking en reading again, most of the info I received earlier. Some of it is new and very helpfull. Especialy the explaination of the electrical symbols![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Have you seen my last xls file? with my latest questions?
I'll send you an email.
Thanks for your help. As soon as I have more questions answered I will post my new xls list for everyone to read!

On your spread sheet arrange the ECM terminals in number order on the sheet.and add the Circuit Numbers
Connector #1
Pin #1 Circuit # XXX
Pin #2 Circuit # YYY
Connector #2
Pin #1
Pin #2
Then add the Fuse box or fuse boxes
Under Hood Electrical Center aka Fuse Box
Connect #1
Terminal A1 Circuit #123
Terminal A2 Circuit #1234
The Circuit number is key to this
Also you will see circuit #439 and a circuit #1439 and #2439. They are related
Hey do you have the fuse boxes?

I am working on a 86 Monte Carlo LS nick named LSx
I am installing a 05 LS2 and 4L65E from a GTO.
Building the harness this week
I am also installing a M112 on a 04 GMC Sierra this week.
I am hoping to start the turning on the 07 GT500 Clone car this week also. I have been waiting since November. Long Story
Then I promised a guy that I would look at his Buick Grand National this week. I guess it back fires and stalls out.
Last week I finally got my last GM assessment in. I have been waiting to take the assessment for 2 years.
Now I have a day job at a Cadillac dealer and I am working on my house. I have to sell it we have 2 of them.
Some How I manage to handle it all

WOW, that's a lot! Now I am feeling even more special to get your help... ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I am pretty busy too, but unfortunadly not with cars.
The working on my house part is recognisable. Next to that I am a Brand Strategy Advisor at a Brand Identity Agency for some local and European brands. Busy job with many deadlines, but not as busy as your are I think... wow
Hope you can still find a timeslot to help me out, as said before I won't mind paying a bit for your good help!
Thanks
Peter

O BTW, I don't have the corvette fuse boxes. And I have to make/ buy one for this engine harness.
And are the wire connections to the ECM any different between a 4L60/5E and the 6L80E.
I am still not sure on the 4L60E I have...

This is Just Circuit #39 and circuits related to #39.
The circuits are connected in the box
BTW you need a fuse box from an 06 Vette.

Thanks,
I was hoping to use a universial fusebox.
If not I have to find a cheap corvette fuse boxes and have it shipped to the netherlands... $$$
Question about the relay schematic:
Is the RUN CRNK relay the starter relay on the starter?
And is it that the same as relay 43? or is the 43 another relay? and what is RUN/ CRANK Relay bus?
To sum it all up, I need 4 relays:
- an relay for crank voltage (relay 43)
- an relay for powertrain ignition 1 (relay 44)
- an relay for the fuel pump (relay 55)
- an relay for my dual air fans or stock fan control module?
Another question:
And your marked E9 red, but do I need that wire?
(E9 -- 239 --- Ignition 1 Voltage (MM6/MZ6)?)
I probably running ahead of you with all my question, I will try and be patience
and wiat for you to fill in my questions on the latest Exel sheet...
Thanks
Peter

Probably not easy to get the right one here, how about this fuse box for my ignition 1 voltage wires?
![](http://www.rdae.nl/images/big/5025_2.jpg)
Or something like this on current preformance:
![](http://www.currentperformance.com/Accessories/SA-001.jpg)
http://www.currentperformance.com/Ac...iring_acc.html
Some of the wires can be routed true my original camaro fusebox (I have a new American Auto Wire Update Harness).
Will this make it harder? Or just a bit more work?
Peter
