Will a ls1 bolt up to a 1992 3.2L isuzu trooper standard transmission? Or do you guys know were to find any info on this conversion? Any help will be appriciated.

its gona be trial and error. but I think it will be easier to get the LS1 trans too and just fab the mounts

 

I don't even know what the bolt pattern looks like and I can tell you it won't bolt up. As the screamin chicken said, it would be cheaper in the long run to use a chevy trans. it would cost a lot to get a adaptor plate and a custom clutch/flywheel, only to end up having the LS1 break the Isuzu tranny eventually.

I have a 91 Amigo I'm going to be swapping in a new engine, which is essentially a 2-door rodeo and shares many parts with the pick-up.
The 2.8litre MUA5 trooper 5- speeds will bolt up to all the 60 degree GM engines. (3.1, 3.4, 3.8, 4.3, 305 and the 350. As well as the Aurora V8 and Caddy 4.5 V8) I'd recommend the centreforce dual friction clutch.
Also, if you want to keep the 4WD you need a NP203 transfer case which also bolts up.
The trooper tranny can handle up to 450 HP with no problems, and if you have the corporate 12 bolt Isuzu rear end and 10 bolt front, these can handle plenty of power as well as these were also used on their heavy equipment vehicles with high torque diesel engines.

 

^4.3, 5.0 and 5.7 ARE NOT the same bolt pattern as the 2.8, 3.1, 3.4, 3.8

idk anything about the olds and caddy motors so idk what bolt patterns those are... who really cares?

the only manual transmission your going to find that was behind a ls series motor is a nv4500 out of a 99 and up chevy truck and let me tell you thats a rare *** trans to find and when you do be prepared to pay for it...

unless you wanted to make it really badass and find a nv5600 that was behind a 6.0 thats a 6 speed I've always wanted to put 6.0 and a nv5600 in a s10

4.3 5.0 and 5.7 are 90 degree engine buddy!
