more updates, steering almost done, headers need to be made, more parts to buy, mr2 strut conversion done...etc..
before

after

got further on the interior, but thats on hold for now. most everthing is mocked up for right now, got to order some more parts this week.

Thinking of switching to a f-body oil pan to help with clearance a little bit around the k member.. have to mod the k member still a little more.

more suspension pics, still need to be torn down and painted all pretty. I used rear struts from a 95 toyota mr2, cut 2.5 inches out of the strut housing, rewelded, then welded a 1/4 thick DOM tube for a spring perch... I'm going to order some eibach springs with different rates when I start tracking the car... these should be fine for right now.

hey, how did you make the foam block, or did you buy a big piece and start shaving... I've always been curious about that part of fiberglassing from scratch.

yeah its just a $25 sheet of pink foam from home depo. Just cut it glued it together and started shaving it. I may eventually cover it in clay then sculpt it to a finish and make a mold so I have the option of using carbon or fiber glass.

update... Steering is there, engine mounts are mocked up, still need a little cutting and welding of some steel parts. Way over kill but they only cost me $50 to make them myself. I tubbed the front end as well to get moar steering angle. Some day I would like to run 10-10.5 wide fronts, and now I will be able to. Started cleaning up the fender wells yesterday hoping to have them primed up today. Got my f-body pan, going to order my improved racing baffle this week. It fits oh so nicely now. Shooting for a june completion date... Its getting warmer out and killing me in the process.
resting on the rack, I moved it up so I have a good 1/2inch clearence around everything.

close idea of stance with the engine in...

Got some goodies this weekend. Custom made leds for my fogs and blinkers.

built a housing for the lights.

Got new wheels, should be able to get traction now... HRE 505s 3 piece 17x9.5 in the front and 17x11 in the rear

235s and 275s stretched

and Finally the seats I've always wanted.... should save me about 50lbs over the stockers...

Had to cut out my door bar and lower it a few inches, cause the seats are so wide.

Sorry for the shitty cell phone pics.
