Did you test fit the truck pan before you decided on the f-body unit? Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like cutting a little off the truck pan for ground clearance would be a good alternative for those of us who weld aluminum. What did the f-body pan cost anyway?
By the way, very nice build. Hope mine turns out half that nice.

I put the truck pan in to test and it was nearly on the ground with the height of my car.
If you are able to weld aluminum then it is an option. My guess it you would have to take 2 1/2-3" out to have it level with the bottom of the kmember. I'm not sure how much oil volume you would lose though.
I bought the f-body pan in my car off of here for $150 with pickup/windage tray/dipstick.

The badges are 6.0 powerstroke emblems
I just trimmed the powerstroke section off with a razor knife

Made a bunch of passes today
The only change from last time is a different carb (went from 800 to 750)
still haven't messed with the MSD as far as timing/rev limit
right lane was fine but had a few issues in the left lane and couldn't get any good 60's
Hotlapped the car 4 passes in a row each time
3 best passes were
reaction .0788
60ft 1.5920
330ft 4.8321
1/8th 7.6123
1/8mph 88.56
1000' 10.0201

great, clean build man..on another note, you should scoot that factory rear wing back to where the bottom of it flush with the deck lid....will make it look WAYY better....(did it to mine) love it.

Went to Milan for the Sunday TT/Gamblers race
I got the laptop hooked up to the MSD and bumped the limiter to 6000
made 12 passes in TT with a best of 11.94 @111 (several other 11.9x's)
During the brackets I went 11.970 on an 11.97
first round
2nd beat a 9.50's Ninja by .0091
3rd round beat a caprice wagon that was super consistent
4th red lit =P
Oooops
Still made 16 passes which made me feel I got my moneys worth!
