carbed 5.3 made it to the track
Not bad for a 300 dollar junk yard motor.
I was getting 7.9-7.8 in the 1/8 running 12.00@115 in the 1/4 with 1.8 60ft. But I had a 5.7 and 3.36 rear gears

Horsepwraddict - What's your carb setup? Jets/PV/squirters/accel pump? Did you use the MSD 6010? Care to share your timing/MAP curves?
I use the MSD 6010. As far as timing goes, i have have it locked out at 29* from idle all the way up. I dont run any vacum advance.
i need to get my heavy pig out to the track..i'd be happy w/high 13s

best mph i had was 114.5. of the four runs i made all had MPH between 113 and 114.5
It was still in the 90's with high humidity. With good weather i think its a consistently high 11 second truck
