Ken
I love watching the progress on this car. It is a cool build. My son is finnishing off a race car he designed and built himself. Everything other than the spindles and brakes (Mazda Miata) he designed and built himself. For me, who has done only factory resorations over the past 25 years I am envious of the skills that I see in guys like yourself and my son who use their engineering talents (My son is an AME) and create something out of nothing or in this cars a sweet classic rod with all kinds of modern components.
Thanks for sharing the progrees as well as the headaches.

Paul
(GOLF in AZ not good in Jan,played one round before the rain but was back two weeks later on bizz and got a good round in)

Didn't get too much time to work on the chassis today........But......I got the Brake system filled, bled, and working......just a couple of small leaks...No big deal....also started plumbing the fuel line..... and I stopped at the Body shop on the way home and the Car is going to be painted Friday....(Got there after the Painter left for the Day so I didn't find out about the Primer)........No Pic's because everything still looks the same...

Got around to the Fuel system today.........Mounted the fuel tank for the last time......These old Fords had welting between the tank and the frame to stop any possible Squeeking.....

Got all the parts for the Fuel Line and got it installed

I got the Engine installed for hopefully the last time......and when the Body gets back next week I can fit and install the fuel line from the frame to the Fuel Rail.......I was so intimidated when I started this project by the fuel system, But....with the "Help" and "Understanding" from the people here it ended up being a no Brainer......"Thanks Guys"..........
I also installed the headers and I can now get going on the Exhaust system.......

Not a lot of room between the Motor Mount bolt and the A.C. Compressor, but everything clears

Happiness is filling up the garbage can with installed part boxes.....LOL

Tomorrow......Pictures from the Paint Shop.........Painted at last.......

I decided to fabricate my own exhaust system so I ordered all the tubing, bends, and mufflers today.......everything was delivered to the shop after I left today.....so......another "Fun" thing to do........I also hooked up the Lokar cable shifter to the trans.....the Lokar kit I had was leftover from another project and designed for a 700R4, so....I spent a good part of the morning today cutting and modifying it to work with the 4L65E.....Worked out great........
Then I went to the Body shop.........The body and doors were being sprayed with the Base Coat.......So the spray booth pic's are without clear....

Then......Here are some pic's of the "Underside" of the Hood that had the clear applied.......First pic is in the dark of the shop.....2nd is with the flash.....you can see how it will look in the Sun......Pretty Cool!! Great job Howie!!...............Oh!!....By the way ......They spray Etching Primer over the bare metal and filler, then they overspray with Urethane Primer....
