Today the car went to Frameup Wheelworks in Waukegan, Ill for the A/C system check out and Charge.......
Billy working his "Magic" and it seems I only had one "O" ring that got damaged in assembly, after he found and repaired it...then we were good to go!!
Back home in the garage after being away for a year.........
Gonna get the door glass and some other stuff finished up over the weekend.....going for upholstry on Monday..........Hopefully getting some weight into the car will help get it a little lower.....Right now it sits like a 4 wheel drive car..........

Today I got the door window felts and glass installed...One of the reasons I kept the stock window mechanisms instead of putting power units in....is because the stock units have a neat feature of the when you start to roll the window down, it moves back before going down........this way you get a mini vent window.....thought it was neat so I decided to keep the feature that Henry designed.........
Now......For the "Good" news......John at Speartech kept after the communication issue with the gauge module and sent a schematic to Dave and sure enough, after Dave rewired the BCM and the PIM....we started the car and everything worked.......Temp, Fuel,Speedo, Tach, and the gear indicator display's correctly as stock..........
Kudo's to John for sticking with it........Man!!....Talk about customer service.........Can't say enough about how much John helped out...

Also.....Dave finished up the wiring today....(Thanks again to John @ Speartech)......all the gauges work (got a few errors that need to be recified, nothing that affects anything) and we started it up and let it get up to Temp and see if the ECM would turn on the cooling fan......Everything went according to the book.......Tomorrow to the upholstry shop.............
Power Tour here we come!!

Could you summarize what it took to get the gauge cluster working right? Like a quick parts list (BCM, harness ends...) and how many wires went from the ECM or sensors (temp, oil ??) to the BCM. Did Speartech have to do anything to it or did you get it all done with your in house electrical engineer? Can I borrow him ;>)
I'd reallly like to put an Escalade cluster in my car.

Ummm...I had something to do with Ken having so many miles on his GTO. You see, he let me borrow it for a week when I was in his "neighborhood". It went from Wisconsin to St. Louis, to Indy...back to Chicago and then finally home to Wisconsin.
Ken is a one of kind guy and I am honored to have him as my friend. (He also has lots of coupons (inside joke) )
Ken...the car is just bitchin'!

Ken...if you want to take a small road trip before the power tour, come on down to Schaumburg....I would absolutely love a ride in this beautiful creation of yours, and I'll treat you to "Johnny's"

There's been a couple of days delay in getting into the Upholstry shop, but in the mean time I have a couple of loose ends to catch up on......I have to finish the dash and deal with the rear quarter window seal issues.......anyhow here are some pic's of a empty shop...Kind of funny walking in with the car and my mess gone...........LOL
