Default LY6 on its way

Well, I finally did it.
I ordered a LY6 ($1400.00)from a 08 chevy silverado 2500 with 30,000. I also got the puter($50.00) and starter($50.00). The HD trucks don't have DOD, do they? Theyalso have the 6L90 4x2 trans too (800.00) I wish I was willing to dikaround with a trans swap, but 1 thing at a time.

Anyone have any ideas ? I plan on keeping the VVT and eventually going to a corvettels3 intake with vette accessary drive ***IF*** MAST's spacers work.

Anyone see if CompCams have their VVT cams going yet. I didn't see anything at their site.

where did you pick those up at? 800 for a 6L90 seems like a good price.

The LY6 doesn't have AFM (DOD). Thats a deal on the 6l90! It has the 4:1 first just like the 6l80!

damn dude you got a killer deal on that - I'm still firmly convinced that these motors are the best bang for your buck out there (of any motor, period).

PILLAGENBURN;
I agree. I see alot of auto recylers trying to get $1100- $2200.00 for LQ4s & LQ9s. And MOST have 50,000- 100,000 Miles WTF ? LOL.

I saved ALOT of money with the LY6 all ready having the L92 heads.

I'm seriously considering a LY6 for my Jeep project. Are tuners able to work with the vvt? I'm really hoping that he can.

girupb: most import tuners have been tuning vvt for years. vvt is not a new thing

Thats a dang good deal !!!! i just seen an ad for a complete 42k 6.0 for $ 375 idk if its bs ... but i'll find out 2moro. Im patiently waiting on the day that Ly6's are plentiful for cheap. The best part is if we continue the trend the prices have no choice but to go down. Ok Im impatiently waiting !!!!
