Parts are rolling in.

FTI cam ground by Lunati
Fuel lines from Techafx
FTI custom Ti retainers for the Lunati spring kit
Holley EFI is back up and running with the new V2 software. Very bad *** updates
Rear trailer hitch and parachute mount is done bumper is back on.
Fuel pumps are wired and relays have been tested
Oil and trans coolers are done
front wheel bearings have been serviced and brakes checked.
Oil Pump is on the way back from Car Shop/Schumanns after they took a look at it just to make sure it is still 100% and it was

Still to do

pull the rear end and change the gear and a wheel bearing that is leaking. Inspect the rear calipers and paint the housing.
Get engine back from ERL and assemble
Trans should be on the way back from Performance Automatic next week.
converter is shipping tomorrow to Ultimate Converter Concepts for a adjustment

repair and paint hood.

Hope to be making noise with this thing by the first of week of July. Testing it a couple times and putting some miles on the car I need to get the chassis re certed and I need my licence.

Well today I made the 650 mile round trip run to ERL to drop the block off.
Should be able to pick it up on my way home from vacation in a few weeks.

Crank Rods and Pistons are at the machine shop up here getting once over and balancing everything. Should have this stuff back late next week.

I'm getting ready to start essentially the same thing... 408 w/ Paxton blower w/ C4 in an '04 Mustang.

Earlier in the thread you said something about shortening the drive shaft? Does this mean the trans is about an inch farther back? If so, did you have to modify the cross member at all?

I already have the C4 in place that I had been using with a DOHC 4.6 stroker. So, I really just need the JW bellhousing, TCI flexplate and 1/2 Ford 1/2 Chevy TC? Or is there more to this?

You can answer my question here or in my thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...l#post17420305

Yes the shaft had to be a little shorter. The aje mounts move everything back just a little over where it was with the ford. The engine needs to be back for the pan and headers to fit.

The c4 just needs the bell tci flex and 1/2 and 1/2 converter.

Did you have to retap holes for the trans cross member or anything? I haven't looked under the trans in awhile so I don't know 100% what I'm talking about LOL

I have a DS spacer on it already that is like 1/2 inch. so if I removed that, think I could get away with my current DS?

Well things have moved along in the last month.

rear end is done and back in the car
brakes have been bled
fuel system is done and installed ready for leak check
trans and converter are back and in the car.
headers got finished this weekend and are going out for coating next week.
all the wiring has been finished
radiator is back in oil cooler and lines have been cleaned and installed.
heads are clean and ready to go
oil pan is clean and ready.

Still waiting on the block to come back. Not sure when that will happen.

I am ready for the engine everything else in the car is done

That's a bad little pony you got. It sucks to have to wait on parts, been there. Good luck.

Block shipped today. Headers get coated tomorrow. Ordering the head gaskets from Cometic tomorrow.

Should have it running in the next two weeks. I have to order pushrods from Manton so that is almost a week.

The finish work on this is great

Comes clearance for a big stroke. no sharp edges. extra length sleeves to keep the piston supported.

Started filing the rings tonight going to finish them in the morn.

Crank should be in it by the end of the day sunday possibly some pistons in the hole also.

Tim
