Is that the one you are talking about? Did you have to raise the base at all to clear the throttle linkage? I appreciate the help, once you get the fitler and base number on the base i will be placing the order. Do you cut the air pan to fit the base of the throttle body, or the base of the air filter? does the throttle linkage stick up past the throttle body at all with the 4500 throttle body even with the arm cut?

You will need to trim the arm. Use the bottom hole. 85 cable. You will need a base with a min 1/2" rise. I used a mr gasket 9" I got at advance auto. Riveted it to the pan had a separate base for the filter when the pan was off on the street.

I will dig a little and see if I can find some pics of that set up.

I have an 85 cable on order from autozone, thanks again for all the ideas. Are you planning on drag week this year?

No problem. Bought a new house that needs a shop built. Going to disney and sold the engine out of the car to start on the new one. About $3000 from finishing it.

Ah, i didnt realize you sold this motor, it probably would've dominated the SSNA class at dragweek. What are you building to replace it?

So if i use the 9" base riveted to the pan, can i put a 14" filter and lid directly on the air pan? I was also thinking about just trying to get a raised 14'' base and have the pan sit on that.

Headers look great BTW, you doing them yourself?

You are not going to get a 14" one in the pan. 11" on mine at it touches the foam on the front.

Plus unless you have a tall hood it will not clear that.

I built the headers

What radiator hoses did you first use? The rubber ones? And what mounts are those? My Team Z mounts look nothing like that.

I have no idea what the lower hose was. I still have the upper hose. I made it. I will send it to you if you pay the shipping.

I made the motor mounts to move the engine back 1"
