Default LS1 in to a NSX?

They cant be accused of being bad looking cars, people have done V8 swaps in to Fieros, just wondering if its been tried or thought of in to a NSX? Its an expensive car but the oldest ones are now 12 or so years old am are in the low to mid 20K range. I'm sure said and done the cost would be near a new C5.

Good luck, I've seen the original model year still in the 40k range.

LOL , Any case, for some one with deep pockets, I saw some 91ish 100K mile ones for mid $20Ks.

In what regard? Far as the vehicles being sold or transmission I would use with the swap. To answer the later of the two, I'm not sure. I dont know to much about the under pinning and technical aspects of a NSX. The one I saw on e-bay, one was auto the other a manual. I have seen them time to time in the mid to high 20s. all cars with a 100K miles.

the motor is in the rear of the car.. you would need some type of transaxle..

the most obvious would be to use a Fiero transaxle, preferably the 4 speed Muncie because of its power holding abilities, or you could even use a New Venture transaxle like the NVT550, i have seen these holding 600hp turbo 4s, but you're looking at only 500lb-ft of torque lol

I wouldn't even try it. The space is crammed enough with the V6. The engine is transverse mounted to there is no way that you can fit the length of the LS1 with the transaxle. The width and the height should fit but no way will you fit the length between the suspension. There is really no room to fit it any other way either. If you get an NSX, spend the money on a big turbo. The stock NSX engine can take a good 700-800 horse. Plus you can rev it higher. We use the NSX engine in our drag car and get over 1650 horse(of course it's nowhere near stock).

But really, I don't see this one happening. But good luck if you decide to try it.
