I've looked at your site a few times before but it seems like its just a forum with quite a bit of information about LSX swaps and your products. Where exactly does one go to buy the products that you sell? Do you not have an online store?

Will any of the headers (Monte Carlo) come ceramic coated to keep heat down?

Make sure you get a nice header for the 82-92 fbody with a 4L60E... I have the Hawks stainless longtubes on my car and they fit like a glove, but I am using a T56. These headers don't fit around a 4L60E and it has caused a lot of grief in the 3rd gen world. There would be a lot of money to be made for you if you paid some attention to the 3rd gen people.

The site right now is a forum I’m working on a new online store. You can call me right now to make any orders

678 807 7652

Or email me at retroLSX@comcast.net

I can have the stainless headers polished or coated to help keep heat down.
I just got the real Movie car used from Smokey and the Bandit 3! It still even titles to universal studies. So I have a perfect 3rd gen to mock up on and in addition to the 4L60 the TH-400 and 4L80 will be looked at as well. So we will be building a Jerry Reed ED trans am at RetroLSX that is going to have a real lineage to the movies!

Lots of people (including me) are running the th400. Please let the headers fit my 82 Monte with that trans. I understand that I will more than likely have to cut the ears off which is ok with me.

Shawn,

Do you still need the Nova?

"I do still need a Nova 68-74 with PS,PB,A/C for mock up that has never been hit."

I have a future project cat sitting in my garage on the back burner. It might be of use and I am in no rush so you could take your time with it.

Let me know, Tom

Tom if you dont mind bringing down the nova we will get you a free kit and a deal on parts and have your motor trans in the car when you pick it up. Or cut you a deal on a full install.

Thanks

Also here are some more photos of the LHX

This is next to a OEM truck pan.

also the older trans are being looked at with these installs.

what trans are you running in the blazer?

DBW or cable on the motor?

Give me a call and we can talk about the swap. The headers and swap kit are getting popped now so ill have them very soon. kits with the crossmember kit will be 299

Do you need headers? The truck manifolds also fit perfect with the swap

That kit uses the Hummer pan.. LH8 ... hangs down somewhere between the CTS-V and Truck pan.. Check the Sticky for the pan info.

i am out. tired of waiting. i cant believe the f body 3rd gens that are being ignored. you are missing out on a huge market. for all you third gen guys with autos. i just bought a set of hawks 1.75 with 3" collector that fit great with my ls6/4l60e combo. i had to trim the shift bracket slightly but otherwise fit great!

Yeah, the F-Body pans DO fit quite a few LS swap installs. Plenty of them out there too.

Yes, I think Shawn maybe missing out on it too. But he has to decide on what to market.. and I think the 3rd Gen stuff is pertty will handled by Hawks, BMR, Spohn and a few others sponsor here on the forum, just check the list of them.

As his Company names said named with the word.. "RETRO"... He started out to create and services the older cars (many of the 1st and 2nd gen's) of many A, F, X and G cars and Trucks models.

So, I wouldn't worry too much about what he will miss out on and should continue to decide only what to market on what demans that he can be Competitive in.

just my 2 cents..

Guys I’m working hard to get these mounts out as soon as possible but remember I took about 5 kits and 4 headers to get mass produced all at one time. The manufacture that is mass producing my prototype parts has taken longer then expected. So it’s just slowed us down. I have kits that are already prototyped but it’s on the waiting list to get popped until these first ones are ready. After I send off each kit it comes back to me in a production stage with additional test fitting being done. We want the right product the first time instead of having several editions before each kit works perfect.

We also are on board with two TV shows that have taken a lot of the shop time prepping vehicles and getting parts ready for these two builds. The first kit that will be out with be the 1973-1987 GM 4WD and 2WD to correspond the shows needs. I have done about 3 rounds of test fitting on these so far.

The G-Body should be the next after the truck I have two in shop I’m doing a lot of testing on and I’m having the headers built on the car the follow week. We have the 6L90 going on a 87 Choo Choo special ELKY.

We also are testing out the new VVT harness from painless on an 87 Aero couple getting the LY6 6.0L and 4L80 with Comps biggest VVT cam. So far the harness looks great. We have not got it in the car but we are going to do some real world testing on how it works. The nice part about this unit is it runs the stock ECU and can control the 4L80 or 6L90

As for a third gen, I have not forgotten we have three that are floating around the shop and we will have a kit for these very soon. One is my personal car. Currently we have built a 4L60 Auto version and are going back in to build a T-56 kit shortly. I even have a 62-27 Nova coming by for testing. It’s a lot of cars all at once and ill have every last one of the cars developed as fast as possible so be patient if you can. If you’re in a rush Hawks has a great product. I’m even getting him 35 third gens cars from a customer of mine.
