How do you pull the wires from the C2 fuse block? Or can I just cut them?
Thanks

I'll take a stab at this. It sounds like you're working on a Vortech harness out of a truck...yes? If so, I would first check out www.lt1swap.com. He has pictures of the block and tells what each wire is. He suggests cutting and labeling them as you go. I used his instructions on a harness and it worked quite well. Hope this helps...Ron

Yes it is a Vortec truck harness. I have been trying to follow the info on lt1swap. I just wanted to know if there was an easy way to pull those out, but I guess cutting it is.
Thanks for the help Ron.

I just finished my vortec harness friday, and all I did was cut them....I also added about 3-4" to each one to get my custom fuse box away from the harness a bit.

Cool. Where did you get your fuse box?

I used three fuse housings linked together, bought them and the terminals from here:

http://terminalsupplyco.com/Store/Se...earch=12004943

They have a weird ordering system because they don't list the prices, you can either go ahead and order or send them a quote request. Here are the quotes they gave me for the part numbers needed to build the actual fuse block.

12004943 1.96/ea
12020400 .28/ea
12004568 2.14/ea

There is also a $20 minimum order

I got all the info from here:

http://www.lt1swap.com/fuseblock_obd2port.html

I would suggest buying more than you need, because after putting this all together I had planned only using one fuse housing...but ended up using three to put all my pink wires on separate fuses, I have two radiator fans output in that box too.

Can you get any of the other things from rockauto.com? like the relay socket, fuse block terminals & linked terminal, relay 30 amp, and rely terminal 14-18 AWG? If anyone knows part #'s that would rock!
Thanks

the dorman part includes terminals for the fuse block. Inside the kit, 4 terminals are linked together.

I have not looked there for the relays, relay sockets, although they might have them. The sockets from allelectronics are the only one's I've found that will link together with the fuse blocks.

BUST9876 did you get a check engine lamp from allelectronics? I am making my order and wondered which one to get.
Thanks

Bump, I was looking for this and was wondering why we could not use the factory light? I can not find where that is even wired into the OBD2 port. Also, how to wire all this so the old "gen" light comes on in event of alternator failure?

I also did not want to try and cramp all pink wires into one fuse block, and will probably order three also
